From my past experiments, I concluded that seedlings planted in cold ground in May are in a sluggish state, develop poorly or do not grow at all. Then, to warm the root system, I dug in a pipe before planting in the ground, into which I poured water heated to 25-30 ° through the brought out end.
As it passed through the pipe, it warmed the compost layer and thereby accelerated the growth of seedlings. I did the same with the planted potatoes: every two or three days I filled the pipe with warm water, and the result was not long in coming - soon the first sprouts appeared.
