On light soils, Zhukovsky early potatoes are planted using standard technology - in furrows or holes. On heavy clay soils, in regions with a large amount of precipitation, as well as in areas with a close occurrence of groundwater, ridges are cut. If the year turned out to be hot and dry, the potatoes are watered several times during the season.He especially needs moisture at the time of the growth of green mass, as well as during the formation of tubers. Therefore, irrigation is carried out, if necessary, after the first hilling, before and after the flowering of plants.

Digging for early potatoes begins in July, tubers intended for winter storage are harvested in early August. 1-2 weeks before that, the tops are broken at the base or cut off completely. This makes it possible for the tubers to finally ripen and acquire a dense skin. Dig out the harvest of potatoes in dry weather with a pitchfork or shovels. Immediately inspected and sorted.
