Many people use bricks or special clamps to firmly secure the plastic wrap to the frame of the greenhouse. But there are some ways that will not require spending money and will be much more convenient.
One of the simplest, cheapest and most convenient methods of fixing the film on the greenhouse. This method can be divided into two separate options, which are united by the fact that both of them use a regular cord or twine.
In the coating or film, make a hole on both sides next to the arc. Pass a cord or twine through them and use them to secure the material so that it is held on the base. We do this with the entire frame.
Another option is to tie the cord or string to the base of the arc as close to the ground as possible. Then throw it over the covering material so that it is between the cord and the frame. And fix it on the other side in the same way, closer to the ground. We do this throughout the greenhouse.
Self-tapping screws will also help secure the film. To do this, you will first have to make holes in each arc on both sides for self-tapping screws and then use them to attach the film to the frame.
In order not to damage the film coating, it is fixed with wood pads or old unnecessary pieces of linoleum.
An old hose can make some pretty good clamps that are great for small greenhouses.
To do this, take the hose and cut it into pieces. The diameter of the hose should be slightly larger than the diameter of the arc. And the pieces should not be made too small. A length of about 10 to 15 cm is suitable.
A longitudinal cut must be made on each segment. It should be so wide that the rubber retainer can easily be fixed to the frame, but at the same time sit tightly so that it cannot be accidentally blown away by the wind.
A very budget option that does not require additional steps from you to make the mount.
Choose the largest size for your paper clips to hold well. These binders are sold in any stationery store.
In bad weather or strong winds, the cover can be damaged by the metal part of the retainer. To prevent this, place fabric or rubber under each binder.
This method is fine if you have an unnecessary plastic pipe. The clamps are made from it in the same way as from a rubber hose. To prevent sharp edges from damaging the film, it is better to grind them, for example, with sandpaper.
Their main difference is that plastic clips are suitable for large greenhouses, as they are more durable than plastic ones.
These budget methods will help you quickly and easily equip your greenhouse. And you don't need any bricks or special tools.

How to fix the film on the greenhouse to avoid sagging and tearing of the material?
For a greenhouse with one side entrance, you must:
Arc greenhouses are very common, since their construction is not so complicated and can be made of several types of materials. One of the most difficult problems is fixing the film to the surface. This can be done in several main ways, using the following devices:
Please note that if the greenhouse is made of metal pipes, then gaskets must be placed in the fixation points, which will protect the film from overheating and rapid destruction.
This greenhouse is made of several planks, knocked down to the required dimensions, arches of PVC pipes, which are attached to a wooden base. The tops of these arcs are connected at the top with a bar or the same pipe. If it is a timber, it must be well processed by rounding the edges so that the film does not tear.
Simple greenhouse made of boards and PVC arcs
How to fix PVC pipe arches on the greenhouse frame. Fastened most often using a metal perforated tape. Take a small piece of it 5-6 centimeters, screws and a screwdriver. And they are fixed on both sides. For reliability, you can do it twice.
This attachment can be repeated twice.
In exactly the same way, you can fix them from the inside, to keep them stronger, add bars.
Greenhouse arcs are fixed inside the frame
Another option: drive in pieces of reinforcement near the frame, and put pipes on them and only then fix them with clamps to the frame boards. This option is more reliable.
You can attach the film to PVC pipes with double-sided tape. But only if an inexpensive polyethylene film was used: it is impossible to tear it off without damaging it, and polyethylene lasts no more than a year. So for a seasonal greenhouse, this option is from the category of "cheap and cheerful". The second method is special clips for fixing films and everything that can replace them - a piece of an old hose cut lengthwise, a clip for pipes that are used for installing pipelines, office binders, etc.
How else can you fix the film in the meadows of a greenhouse or greenhouse
It also makes sense to fix the block on both sides along the edges of the film. To do this, the film is cut off more than necessary in length, a bar is wrapped in the excess and the film is fixed on it. Now you have a piece of film, on the short sides of which the bars are attached. Leave one on one side, throw the other on the other. Now you do not need to press the film to the ground with stones: the block holds it well. It is also convenient with him to open the greenhouse for airing, wound the film, put it up.
A bar wrapped around the edges of the film makes it easier to work
You can use small nails to fix the film, but put washers under the caps. Work faster with a construction stapler with staples. To prevent the film from tearing at the attachment points, it is laid with something. You can - a dense braid or just a strip of fabric, and already hammer fasteners into it.
Methods for attaching the film to the bar and to the arcs
If there is a need to make a greenhouse with PVC arches more reliable, wooden racks are nailed to the base of the boards in the center of the short side. A board is attached to them on the edge, in which holes are pre-drilled in diameter larger than the outer diameter of the pipes.
This greenhouse can be used not only for growing peppers or eggplant. Having grown the side racks, if necessary, it will be possible to tie up cucumbers or tomatoes
During installation, the pipe is threaded through the hole. You can fix it on the sides as suggested above, or do it in another way: pre-install the studs in the bars, and put the pipe on them.
How to fix the longitudinal bar in the racks
What is great about PVC pipes is that they are easy to bend. Even the fact that they weigh a little. Ideal for a lightweight portable greenhouse, especially when combined with spunbond. This material can be sewn. Take a piece with a density of 30 kg / m2, with a step of 50 -60 cm, make drawstrings in it. For a drawstring, stitch across a strip of the same material about 10 cm wide (it is stitched on both sides). Insert the pipes cut into the required lengths inside.
This is what should be obtained: covering material with arcs threaded into the drawstrings
Now all this can be installed on the garden bed: stick the pegs in two rows on one and the other side of the garden bed, plant a pipe on them. A ready-made greenhouse is immediately obtained. And what's more convenient: you open and close the plants simply by collecting or spreading the spunbond on an arc. This is a very convenient temporary greenhouse: as soon as it is not needed, it can be removed and folded in a couple of minutes.
